Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Physics at the time of appointment. The ideal candidate will have an established reputation with internationally recognized scholarship and a demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. Excellence in research will be demonstrated by publications in top ranked and field relevant academic journals, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades, and strong endorsements by referees of the highest international stature. Evidence for excellence in teaching will be provided through positive teaching accomplishments and accolades, strong letters of reference, and a reflective teaching dossier with outstanding course evaluations. Candidates are expected to be outstanding mathematicians whose research and teaching will make a major contribution to the quality and stature of the Department, as well as the research programs at Perimeter Institute.
