The post as a research associate in the working group of Prof. Dr. Fabian Mohr offers the possibility of a doctorate in a modern field of inorganic chemistry with an emphasis on medical inorganic chemistry for the research of cancer and malaria therapeutics. We offer a modern laboratory equipment and a very versatile range of activities from synthetic to spectroscopic and structural analysis to theoretical methods. In addition, there is close contact with regional and international cooperation partners for biological / medical analysis. The cooperation in the teaching of 2 LVS is expected.
It is a qualification center within the meaning of the Science Time Contract Law (WissZeitVG), which is used to promote a doctorate procedure. The position is limited for the duration of the doctoral procedure, but initially for a period of three years.
An extension to the doctoral degree may be possible within the limits of the WissZeitVG.

A university degree (master or comparable) in chemistry with an emphasis on preparative inorganic chemistry, as well as the interest and skill in independent experimental work, is expected to be completed with an above-average success. In addition, team and communication skills and good English skills should be brought along.
