DOCTORAL STUDENT IN GEOMETRY In the Department of Geometry of the Department of Mathematics, research is conducted in differential geometry, ihb (pseudo-) Riemann and symplectic geometry. You teach maths at the courses taught by the professors of the Department of Mathematics You assist in the supervision of bachelor projects and master's theses You help with the organization of conferences, workshops and activities for study information You are following the doctoral program of the Arenberg Doctoral School Profile You have a Master's degree in Mathematics or an equivalent Master with an important component Mathematics. You are able to take care of exercises in Dutch. If your knowledge of Dutch is insufficient, we ask that you follow a language course so that after two years you will be able to take care of mathematics in Dutch You have a good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. . Offer We offer a place as a PhD student in the Department of Geometry of the Department of Mathematics for 1 year. This appointment may be extended to four years after favorable evaluation.
