Research Assist­ant - salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 1st qual­i­fic­a­tion period (PhD can­did­ate)
part-time employ­ment may be pos­sible


Work­ing field:

 

Par­ti­cip­a­tion in research and teach­ing, organ­iz­a­tion and teach­ing of exer­cise ses­sions and sem­inars in the field of Geo­metry. Research in dis­crete dif­fer­en­tial geo­metry, in par­tic­u­lar on energy min­im­iz­i­ation of knot­ted, linked and woven curves.


Require­ments:

 

Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in math­em­at­ics;
thor­ough expert­ise in geo­metry is a pre­requis­ite. We expect you to work inde­pend­ently on a high aca­demic level. A good com­mand of Ger­man and Eng­lisch is neces­sary. Exper­i­ence in pro­gram­ming and an interest in applic­a­tions of dif­fer­en­tial geo­metry would be prefer­able.
