We are seeking a recent graduate suitably qualified to undertake system administration and programming support, demonstrate the outputs of the Faculty's Cyber Security Researchers of Waikato (CROW) group and the STRATUS project and provide expert technical consultation services and instruction to users.

You will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a strong research component, C programming and relational database, Linux and Windows administration skills. Technical skills in Cassandra, MongoDB, OpenStack and cloud services such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure are vital for success in this role.

Knowledge of cyber security, kernel programming, log management (i.e. SIEM), cloud computing and distributed storage is essential, together with good organisational skills related to managing equipment and/or planning a programme of work effectively.

You must be a proactive team contributor with good interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to assist staff and students with their research programmes.

Salary will be in the range of $56,500 to $68,000 per year depending on qualifications, skills and experience.

Fixed-term for up to three years.
