The Faculty of Sciences of Hasselt University seeks a (m/f)

PhD student Mathematical modelling for two-phase and unsaturated flow through geological porous media based on visualization experiments

Job content

The research activities within the Computational mathematics group at Hasselt University have a focus on the mathematical modelling, analysis, upscaling and the numerical simulation of processes encountered in the real life. The present work is on mathematical modelling and upscaling of multi-scale processes like flow and chemical reactions taking place in porous media and will be carried out within the VisioFlow project (FWO). The research will be carried out in collaboration with the group of Prof. Veerle Cnudde (PProGRess-UGCT, Ghent University) and with international research partners in Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, and Norway.
