Description of the subject area : Information system at Uppsala University comprises the scientific study of the use and development of IT-based information systems. The entire life cycle of the systems is taken into account, as is the interaction between systems, developers, users and operations.

 

duties: The employment concerns teaching and research in information systems. Teaching refers to undergraduate level, advanced level and / or research level and supervision of doctoral students. The focus of the employment concerns information systems development with a particular focus on software development in Java and C #. The service provider is expected to be responsible for courses in the above-mentioned areas, but teaching outside these areas may be included. The duties include course responsibility including course development and administrative tasks at the department. The work tasks also include actively applying for external research funds, following developments in the field of own subjects and social development in general, as well as participating in the work on the internationalization of undergraduate education. At the Department of Informatics and Media there are, besides information systems, subjects human-computer interaction and media and communication science. The holder of the lecture board is expected to actively contribute to the institution's efforts to find synergies between these topics in terms of education and research

 

Eligibility Requirements: Qualifying to be employed as a university lecturer is the one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence, demonstrated educational skill and has the personal qualities required to fulfill the job well.

 

For qualifications, documented ability to teach in Swedish and English is required. Those who at the beginning of the employment only master one of these languages should be able to teach the other within two years at the latest.
