The Department of Computer Science and Engineering invites applications for a full-time lecturer position commencing in the Fall Semester 2018. Particular areas of teaching interest are: computer architecture or real-time embedded systems. Exceptional applicants in other closely related areas may be considered.


The applicant is required to have a PhD in Computer Engineering or a closely related field, show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio, and preferably demonstrate at least three years of experience in academic advising. The candidate is expected to devote 50-75% effort towards teaching (equivalent to teaching two to three courses per semester), 25-40% for academic advising of all computer science and engineering undergraduate majors, and 10-25% for other services, including student recruitment and engagement activities. Experience in the American model of higher education is highly desirable.

The department has approximately 400 undergraduate students, 20 graduate students, 14 full-time faculty and 6 lab instructors. Students and faculty represent very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; more than 90 nationalities are present on campus. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and Master of Science in Computer Engineering.
