Station Q Copenhagen is a research center sponsored by Microsoft Research aimed at developing topological quantum information processing hardware.

The position

The Center for Quantum Devices and Station Q Copenhagen is looking to hire one or more postdoctoral fellows for the experimental implementation of solid-state qubits based on semiconductor-superconductor hybrid materials, including Majorana qubits and gatemon qubits. Applicants should have a PhD in experimental physics with relevant experience and publications.

Research involves nanofabrication, low-temperature physics using a cryofree dilution refrigerator, rf and microwave signal generation and detection, data analysis, interaction with theoretical physicists, scientific writing and mentoring PhD students. Teaching is available but not required.

Information about QDev can be found at Information about Station Q can be found at

The position is open from September or after, by arrangement.

The candidate

The successful applicant, who should have a strong background in both physics and material science, and preferably in nanofabrication, will be enrolled as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen.
