Research Fellow - 006WC

Description

Job description: To conduct research in representation theory. More specifically, the candidate will have to work on admissible representations of algebraic semisimple groups. The research problems could cover nilpotent orbits, supercuspidal representations of p-adic groups, reductive dual pair correspondences of classical groups and exceptional groups, representations with small wavefront sets and the Langlands program.

Skills: Require good analytic skills. Some acquaintance in Fourier analysis, number theory and algebraic geometry.

Experience: No past experience in algebraic groups or representation is fine provided the candidate is willing to learn the mathematics involved. There is much background knowledge so previous research position and/or PhD program in class field theory and/or algebraic group representations is greatly preferred.
