The position is limited until 31.12.2022 for third-party financing in the sense of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG).

 

The position is responsible for the scientific monitoring of the sub-project 8 "Development of Adaptive Concepts for a Diagnosis-Based Individual Support of High-Performance and Potentially High-Performance Students in Primary and Lower Secondary Primary Mathematics Education". The project is part of the BMBF-funded research network "Performance Makes Schools - Accompaniment and Further Development of Schools for the Promotion of High-Performance and Potentially Efficient Students" (LemaS), in which a total of 22 subprojects participate in 16 German university locations.

 

tasks

 

  • Review of the state of research and cooperation in the survey of the actual status in regular education at the participating project schools for the development of adaptive concepts for a diagnosis-based individual support of high-performing and potentially highly capable students in the regular mathematics education of primary and lower secondary education
  • (Further) Development and testing of an adaptive concept for a diagnosis-based individual support of high-performing and potentially very capable children in the regular mathematics lessons of the primary school at the project schools in the context of a mathematics didactic doctorate
  • Participation in the mutual exchange of schools through cooperative networking (eg online platform)
  • Participation in the formative evaluation and optimization of the funding concepts developed in subproject 8 in the regular mathematics lessons of elementary and lower secondary school
  • Collaboration in the preparation of scientific publications and dissertation handouts

 

Requirements:

  • a "very good" university degree in mathematics for teaching at elementary schools
  • existing knowledge on the topic "Promoting mathematically high-performing or potentially capable (particularly gifted) children" as well as practical experience in the diagnosis-based support of these children
  • Readiness for scientific qualification
  • high level of initiative and willingness to work in a team
