This post is available for 24 months or until March 2021 to conduct research into the design and implementation of practical, robust and physically secure post-quantum cryptographic architectures at the Centre for Secure Information Technology (CSIT), Queen’s University Belfast. The research will be conducted as part of a collaborative project led by Toshiba Research Europe Limited.

 

The successful candidate must have:

 

•  2:1 Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics (or related discipline)

•  Have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in a relevant subject

•  At least 3 years’ relevant research experience in one or more of the following:

-  embedded systems design

-  FPGA or ASIC hardware design

-  integrated hardware/software design

•  Evidence of a strong publication record commensurate with career stage and experience

•  Ability to contribute to broader management and administrative processes.

•  Ability to contribute to the School’s outreach programme by establishing links with industry, community groups etc.

 

Salary scale:   £33,199 - £39,610 per annum (potential to progress to £43,266 per annum through sustained                           exceptional contribution)
