BDIC Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Computer Science, UCD School of Computer Science - Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) (Temporary 5 year posts)


Applications are invited for temporary posts of a BDIC Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Computer Science within UCD School of Computer Science - Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC).

 

University College Dublin (UCD) and Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) have established the Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) offering dual degrees in Software Engineering, Electronic & Information Engineering and The Internet of Things (Engineering) in Beijing. The School of Computer Science delivers modules in these programmes.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to teach on the BDIC programmes and also contribute to the research activity in the School. Candidates are sought with expertise in the current areas of research activity within the School - these are Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Software & Systems Engineering, and Networks & Distributed Systems.

 

95 Lecturer / Assistant Professor (below the bar) 2010 salary scale: €33,479 - €58,760 per annum
Or
95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) 2010 Salary Scale: €52,848 - €83,090 per annum

 

Appointments will be made on a point on the relevant scale, in accordance with the Department of Finance guideline.

 

Closing date: 17:00hrs (local Irish time) on 1 April 2019.
