 Keio University, Japan (http://www.mech.keio.ac.jp/ja/index_en.html) invites applications for a non-tenure-track, three-year position with emphasis on applied mathematics at the level of either a professor, associate professor, or assistant professor.

After the three-year contract, promotion to a tenured position may be considered. We are seeking candidates who can apply mathematical approaches to reveal essential physics behind practical problems relevant particularly to mechanical engineering, with an outstanding research record and a strong commitment to teaching in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Job details

Candidates are also expected to be able to give applied mathematics lectures in English, designed for undergraduate/graduate students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and in its related departments. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

•Applied Mechanics
•Control and Dynamical Systems
•Thermal and Fluids Engineering
