At the Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, a number of positions are open as external lecturer per year. November 1, 2019.


We are looking for a teacher for the course Accounting and Law (Regn & Jura2), which is part of the compulsory program in insurance mathematics education. The position involves the teaching of basic insurance mathematics and insurance law, see the course website (Regn & Jura2) https://kurser.ku.dk/course/nmaa05077u . The course is in Block 2 (November-January), with an expected workload of 80 pay hours.

We are looking for a teacher for the course Insurance and Law (Forsik & Jura1), which is part of the compulsory program in insurance mathematics education. The position involves the teaching of basic insurance mathematicsand insurance law, see the course website (Forsik & Jura1) https: // kurser.ku.dk/course/nmaa04024u . The course is in Block 4 (April-June), with an expected workload of 100 hours.

We are looking for a teacher for the course Mathematics and Models (MatMod), as part of the Bachelor's programs in Natural Resources, Animal Science and Food and Nutrition. The position involves teaching mathematical models based on linear algebra and differential equations. See the course website https: // courses.ku.dk/course/nmab14031u . The course is in block 4 (April-June) with an expected workload of 150 hours.

 

Qualifications 
qualification requirement is a graduate level, as well as additional qualifications that may be related to special specialties and knowledge, special practice experience or other special high-level qualifications obtained through employment in the field. Teaching qualifications are included in the assessment basis.

In assessing the applicant, inter alia: emphasis on ability to teach and communicate.

Salary and employment
Employment as external lecturer is done by Circular on the position structure of scientific staff at the universities as well as circular on external lecturers. The working hours associated with the teaching of an external lecturer cannot exceed 500 hours per year. However, if necessary for the organization or implementation of the teaching, the working hours may amount to up to 780 hours per year.

Hourly pay per. working hours amount to DKK 267.98 (April 1, 2019 level).

Preparation of tuition is paid at 2½ hours per week. teaching hour. Furthermore, there is the possibility of individual salary negotiation. The total number of working hours is determined prior to the start of each semester.

 

The employment is unlimited.
