The Institute of System Security at Technische Universität Braunschweig is looking to fill the position of a

PhD Student in Security & Artificial Intelligence.

The position is fully funded with salary level TV-L 13 and starts with a contract of two years.

Research Topics

You will conduct research at the intersection of computer security and machine learning. This research can include the construction of novel security methods using artificial intelligence as well as the security analysis of learning algorithms. Potential research topics include:

  • The analysis of attacks and malicious code with machine learning
  • The discovery of security vulnerabilities with machine learning
  • Attacks against machine learning with practical impact
  • Resilient and interpretable machine learning in computer security

Your Profile

We are looking for highly motivated applicants with the following profile:

  • Diploma or Master degree in computer science
  • Very good knowledge in computer security and/or machine learning
  • Strong interest in research and combining security and learning
  • Possible experience in research and teaching
