The German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) is a unique non-university research center which is dedicated to the subject dementia and all its areas, as well as other neurodegenerative diseases. Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d) or PhD Student (f/m/d) – Computer Science, focus on intelligent systems and computational behavior analysis

Your tasks

  • Scientific work in the development and evaluation of situation-adaptive assistance systems for people with cognitive impairments.
  • Model-based and data-driven computational behavior analysis using current methods of intelligent systems, statistical data analysis, and cognitive modeling.
  • Preparation of scientific publications in the research domain.


Your profile

  • Postdoctoral Researcher: Candidates preferably with a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on artificial intelligence / data science / cognitive science or a PhD in Cognitive Psychology with a background in computational psychology / computational cognitive science.
  • PhD student: Candidates preferably with MSc in the above fields.
  • Professional experience in model-based and data-driven analysis of human behavior, specifically based on real-time sensor data. Relevant knowledge on time series analysis, Bayesian methods, statistical modeling, machine learning / methods, and cognitive modeling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
