The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for an open, full time Postdoctoral Scholar position. Prof. Zheng Zhang at UCSB is looking for a postdoc candidate to work on advanced Bayesian inference methods for uncertainty quantification and robust machine learning. The postdoc associate will, conduct original scientific research; publish and present research results in top-tier conferences and journals and collaborate with group mates and industrial partners. Apply by September 25, 2020 for primary consideration, however, the position will remain open until filled. Position anticipated to begin by November 1, 2020.

Applicants must have completed all requirements for a PhD (or equivalent) and majored in applied math, computer science, electrical engineering, statistical physics, or a related field.

PhD must be conferred by start of appointment

Experience and research skills in one of the following areas: stochastic differential equations or uncertainty quantification, Bayesian inference solvers (e.g., MCMC, Hamiltonian Monte Carlo, Langevin Monte Carlo), Bayesian neural networks
