We have a vacancy at our Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Media Technology and Computer Science
as of winter semester 2019/2020 (with a 5-year contract)

Professor (m/f/x) for "Power Electronics"

at DIT's Technology Campus Modern Mobility in Plattling. The teaching obligation is to take place at
one of the locations of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology.

We are looking for an engineer or natural scientist with proven competence in the field of charging
infrastructure, charging stations and power electronics in vehicles.
The tasks include the supervision of the scientific staff at the Plattling-based Technology Campus, the
expansion of R&D cooperation with industrial partners and the development of own application-related
research topics.

Experience in the acquisition of third-party funds, especially in the context of the programmes of the
BMBF and the Free State of Bavaria, as well as in the application and implementation of EU projects
is necessary.

The teaching load currently amounts to 18 semester hours per week, with an appropriate reduction
planned for research and development work.

The ability and willingness to conduct courses in English are necessary.
The position is initially temporary for five years. The objective is to extend the contract.

Required Qualifications:

- university degree
- special aptitude for scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate
- pedagogical skills
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduate professional activity in the development or application of
academic knowledge.

At least 3 years of this professional experience must have been obtained outside the university sector; although in particular cases professional activity may be accepted as sufficient if a substantial part within a minimum 5 year period was completed as a cooperation between the higher educational and the non-universitysector.
