Postdoc in HCI and AI, Department of Computer ScienceWe are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work in the intersection of Human-computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence. The position is associate with the Humane-AI net, an EU project of 53 partners, which investigates Human-centered artificial intelligence. At the University of Copenhagen, the project is associated with both the Machine Learning section (Prof. Christian Igel) and Human-centered Computing section (Prof. Kasper Hornbæk). The candidate will work on models of human-AI interaction and collaboration, creating user interfaces that implement such models and designing and running empirical studies that explore them. Therefore, knowledge of human-computer interaction, intelligent user interfaces, machine learning, and computational models of interaction is essential. The day-to-day work will be in collaboration with Kasper Hornbæk, and the focus is, therefore, on human-computer interaction. The position is two years full-time in the Section on Human-centered Computing at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen (www.di.ku.dk . (a) Empirical studies of interaction between AI and people; (b) Models of interaction with AI, for instance of task delegation or mixed initiative; or (c) Building prototypes of intelligent user interfaces.
