Our Methods in Medical Informatics team is looking for one or more motivated, independent

STUDENT RESEARCH ASSISTANT(S) (m/f/d, approx. 40 hours/month)

for the period between May 2022 and July 2023.

Malaria is a public health problem worldwide, causing substantial morbidity and mortality. There are major efforts underway to produce a global vaccine that could reduce the number of new cases significantly. 
Our goal is to develop and adapt new machine learning methods to better understand the humoral immune mechanisms that mediate sterile protection against human malaria.

Your Tasks:

• supporting research on “Predicting anti-plasmodial antibody profile of human malaria”
• developing and analyzing new and adapted machine learning methods

Your Profile:

• Bachelor‘s Degree in Machine Learning, Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics or Computer Science
• experience in programming with Python, R
• basic knowledge of statistical learning, machine learning and deep learning
• fluency in English
