Opportunity for research in the cross-technology communication/signal emulation and its applications

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a Research Assistant or Associate in the Pillar of Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD).

Responsibility. The Research Assistant/Associate (RA)/Research Fellow (RF) will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and his study team in the areas of cross-technology communication or signal emulation which is a novel technology that converts the wireless signal from one to another. A focus will be on the physical layer modulation schemes. Duties include literature survey, research problem ideation, system building, and research report composition. The candidate will also need to work closely with other team members and outside partners.

Qualifications

• Have a good Bachelor's or Master’s degree (for RA) or a PhD degree (for RF) in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent from a well-recognized university in a relevant area.
• Programming skills in C/C++ or Python or MATLAB.
• Experience in research.
• Knowledgeable about physical layer wireless communication (modulation, coding, MIMO, CSI, etc)

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in any of the following areas:

• Familiar with software-defined radio (such USRP or equivalent).
• Familiar with cross-technology communication/signal emulation.
