Full Professor (W3) for Computer Science and Didactics Faculty of Science, Department of Computer ScienceApplication deadline : 11.12.2022 The Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Science at Tübingen University invites applications for the position of Full Professor (W3) for Computer Science and Didactics funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation The position is due to commence on April 1st, 2023. The successful candidate is responsible for the didactics curriculum of the Bachelor and Master of Education programs in computer science. Independent research activities in school-relevant fields of computer science are expected, for example in the following areas:
A reference to didactics in research and demonstrated commitment to teaching are mandatory. The willingness to cooperate with schools as well as to participate in the organization of teacher training courses and the academic self-administration of the university and the committees of the Department of Computer Science is expected. Applicants should normally have three years of school experience. The University of Tübingen expects internationally visible publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals and conferences as well as proven third-party funding. Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent international degree and postdoctoral qualifications equivalent to the requirements for tenure. This includes evidence of teaching effectiveness. The position is funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation and comes with an attractive start-up and equipment package. The successful candidate will be a faculty member of the Department of Computer Science, and closely cooperates with the Tübingen School of Education and the Research and Transfer Center for Digitization in Teacher Training.
