About the role Are you passionate about the ethical treatment of animals and eager to make a real impact in the world of agriculture? Look no further. The RMIT Intelligent Automation group, in collaboration with Food Agility CRC and Harmony Agriculture & Food Co, is at the forefront of revolutionising the animal welfare regime in Australia.
We are seeking a Research Assistant or Research Fellow to lead and conduct cutting-edge research and development in the field of animal health and welfare upkeep in Australia by building visual AI models for the continuous surveillance and monitoring of animals in feedlots.
You will utilise analytical and statistical pattern recognition methodologies to generate evidence for practice modification recommendations, enhancing the overall quality of care for animal agriculture and contribute to advancing the science of understanding the causal effects of animal casting and sickness.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Qualifications: A completed PhD in a relevant field is required for this role. If you are enrolled or studying towards a PhD, you will be considered for Research Assistant at Academic Level A.
