Department of Mathematics and Systems Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank to start in August 2024. Outstanding candidates with adequate academic or Industrial experience and a demonstrated ability for forging collaborations with the industry may be considered for Associate Professor or a full professor rank. Responsibilities: Develop a research program with an international stature and scholarly recognition through publications and other modes of disseminating ideas Develop a robust portfolio of externally funded support for research and training Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students Teach three single-semester courses per year, usually at the upper-division and graduate levels. Develop and deliver course materials to students in traditional, hybrid, and online platforms demonstrating teaching excellence and high-impact scholarship Contribute both institutionally and professionally through active service Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Systems Engineering by the start of the appointment.
