« Cybersecurity Governance »
We are lookingfor an excellent and highly-motivated researcher with a background in international relations/security studies to conduct a research project on emerging cybersecurity governance mechanisms.
Your task is to study formal and informal cyber-security initiatives in terms of rules, decisionmaking procedures, power positions, efficiency and outcomes. Together with other senior researchers at CSS, you will develop a theoretical model that is suited to explain security regime and norms formation in cyberspace. You will then map and analyze relevant cyber-security governance initiatives and will identify which factors decisively influence successful regime formation in specific contexts.
The successful candidate will have a PhD degree (or will be close to completion), either in international relations, security studies, political sociology, or science and technology studies (or closely related fields). You have strong analytical skills, an excellent publication record, and advanced familiarity with cyber-security issues. Proficient oral and written English skills are a must.
