Treatment
|
1. Salary An annual salary system is applied to tenure-tracking employees, and the allowance is dependent on one's experience/skill and accomplishments.
2. Startup and research budgets An appointee will be supported up to 10 million yen for startup and running costs in the first year, and 6 million yen for running costs in the second year. Thereafter, 2 million yen will be provided to cover running costs. Salaries for a postdoctoral fellow and/or a research assistant will be included in the above budgets.
3. Duration of employment The last day of employment will be March 31, 2021. One who has accomplished promising research will be promoted to a tenured position.
4. Promotion to a tenured position A tenure-track appointee will be evaluated after two years, and reviewed after five years. One who has made promising research in one's field as judged in the review board will be promoted to a tenured position.
