The appointment will be made on the salary scale below the bar and will start in September 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is located within the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Mathematics at NUI Galway. The successful applicant for the lectureship will have: Normally, a PhD (or equivalent) in Mathematics or closely related area. A strong research profile that enhances the research activities of the de Brún Centre for Mathematics. The capacity to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching programmes and research supervision. The successful candidate will be required to: Contribute to the research activities and output of the School. Contribute to the teaching activities of the School. Engage in the training of graduate and postdoctoral researchers. Engage in academic development and administrative duties.
