PhD StudentshipsUniversity College Cork - School of Mathematical SciencesPhD Studentships School of Mathematical Sciences, University College Cork, Ireland Closing Date for Applications: 15 May 2016 Applications are invited for up to 5 PhD/research MSc positions in the School of Mathematical Sciences at UCC, commencing 1 September 2016. Posts, which will provide a stipend of €16,500 + fees, are tenable in any area of specialisation represented within the School, see http://www.ucc.ie/en/euclid/people/. Studentships will be funded for 3 or 4 years (depending on preparation) for a PhD and 1 year for an MSc. All posts carry a responsibility for some teaching assistantship work during the academic year. To be eligible for consideration, a candidate must have obtained a standard of at least Second Class Honours, Grade I, in a primary degree with advanced Mathematical coverage of Applied Mathematics, Mathematics or Statistics topics.
