The Lucerne is the Fachhochschule of six central Swiss cantons and united the departments of Engineering and Architecture, business, social work, design & art and music. From 2016/17 existing computer science offerings are brought together in a separate department and expanded. They will offer undergraduate programs computer science with profiles Advanced Software Development, Enterprise IT & Security, Intelligent Systems and Mobile Systems and business computer science, master's degree programs and attractive developments. Applied research and services will complement the range. The Lucerne is currently training with a total of about 1,500 employees from around 10,300 students and more.

- You write a dissertation in the field of Data Intelligence for Smart Grid
- They are working with our faculty and industry partners in research and development projects in the field of data-driven knowledge generation (Data Intelligence).
- They produce reports and publications. and supervise projects and bachelor theses
- They assist companies in matters relating to Data Intelligence, Big Data and data visualization in the context of education and services.

Requirements |
|
- You have all necessary conditions for admission to doctoral studies at a university. - They have a very good university degree (Master of Science) in computer science or applied mathematics and have acquired during their studies (or in the course of their work) in-depth knowledge in the field of data analysis, with a focus on time series analysis, (Predictive) Analytics or data mining / machine learning (ML).
- You might be interested in the topics of Smart Grid and Smart City.
- You have programming experience in Java and have experience in the development of ML-based systems. Ideally, you have to also experience with R, MATLAB or Python, as well as in dealing with database systems.
- You can express complex issues understandable and have experience in writing of scientific texts (ideally in English).
- They bring with initiative, independence, reliability and high motivation.
- You can well into an existing, highly qualified team to integrate, flexible and work independently.
