Eawag, the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, is an internationally networked aquatic research institute within the ETH Domain (Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology). Eawag conducts research, education and expert consulting to achieve the dual goals of meeting direct human needs for water and maintaining the function and integrity of aquatic ecosystems.
The Department of Systems Analysis, Integrated Assessment and Modelling (Siam) has an open position for a
Tenure Track Group Leader in Computational Sciences with Application to Water Research
to conduct research in high performance computation in water research with a focus on stochastic modelling, pattern identification and statistical inference with hydrological and ecological models and data.
Emphasis will have to be on the development and application of methods to improve our understanding of complex hydrological, ecological and engineered systems of relevance to Eawag. Tenure requirements will be to develop a high scientific profile as well as to contribute significantly to collaborative Eawag projects.
