Four PhD Positions
(salary category TV-L 13, 50%)

for a duration of 3 years.

Job description:

This position will enable a student to complete his/her doctoral degree.

We expect:

  • Development of models and algorithms for diagnosis of distributed embedded real-time systems based on semantic web services
  • Development of algorithms for distributed knowledge management using techniques of machine learning
  • Development of algorithms for real-time scheduling of diagnostic queries and query transformation in distributed databases
  • Modelling, implementation and evaluation of use cases with time-triggered networks
  • Contribution to teaching in study programs mechatronics/computer science and administrative duties
  • Completion of PhD

Your profile:

  • Master's degree or a diploma in computer science or electrical engineering
  • Basic knowledge in networks, distributed systems, real-time systems, databases and knowledge-based systems
  • Programming skills in C, C++
  • Very good English language skills
  • Knowledge about methods for scheduling and optimization (desired)
  • Knowledge about query transformation (desired)
  • Experience in machine learning (desired)
