Nazarbayev University is a newly established institution of higher education in Astana, Kazakhstan, It opened its doors in 2011, as a Western style, English - speaking university with a predominantly foreign academic staff. It provides undergraduate programs in Science and Technology, Social Sciences & Humanities, and Engineering. The School of Engineering offers a 4-year BEng Degrees in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical & Electronic, and Chemical Engineering. The University is investing heavily in its teaching and research infrastructure and School of Engineering has started Master and PhD programs since 2014. The number of academics is also growing fast. The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for a full-time Assistant, Associate Professor position in Engineering Mathematics. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person with an excellent track record in research. Required qualifications: Ph.D. degree from a reputed university in Engineering Mathematics or a closely related field, with ability to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research and service. For an Associate Professor we require at least 5 years of full time research and teaching experience. Desired qualification: university teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate level and course development, possible professional registration or ability to be registered with professional body. The successful candidate will take on teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Engineering Mathematics and will be required to do research and participate in the services to the School.
