Visiting Assistant Professor, Math The Mathematics Department of the College of Arts and Sciences at Widener University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin in August 2016. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of conversion to a tenure-track position beginning August 2017. Candidates must possess a PhD in Mathematics, and experience teaching mathematics at the college/university level. Candidates should have good communication skills, demonstrable excellence in teaching, and evidence of professional development. An interest in undergraduate research and/or civic engagement would be preferred. Responsibilities include: teaching 9 to 12 credits of mathematics per semester primarily for science and engineering students at the sophomore level or above; advising mathematics majors; continued professional development in mathematics; and service to the university.
