Assistant/Associate Professor of Mathematics North Greenville University, Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science and Math at North Greenville University is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position at the assistant or associate level.
The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and evidenced Christian faith and be committed to excellence in education in a biblically sound, Christ-centered environment. An earned doctorate in Mathematics or a related field is required. Both pure and applied math positions are available. ABD's will be considered. A minimum of 18 hours of graduate credit in mathematics is required (as per SACS). Graduate studies in a secondary area would be beneficial. Teaching experience is preferred as well as the ability to teach a wide range of courses from developmental math to senior level courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for working with students both within and outside the classroom and the ability to engage undergraduate students in research and publication. NGU is a member of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and requires all faculty and staff to be committed Christians inside and outside the classroom. Faculty members are also expected to integrate Christian faith into their discipline and be committed to excellence in education in a biblically sound, Christ-centered environment. Located in the Appalachian foothills north of Greenville, South Carolina, NGU is a growing, regionally-accredited university of approximately 2,500 students.
