PhD Positions in Control and Optimization of Complex Systems Chemnitz University of Technology
The full-time positions are available from July, 1st 2016 until September, 30th 2019 with the possibility of extension. We offer various projects in the area of control, diagnosis and optimization of nonlinear uncertain systems and networks. Our research focus is the development of robust and adaptive methods using optimization-based approaches. Current applications range from energy and cyber-physical systems to agriculture and mechatronics. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with MSc, MEng or PhD degree in the area of control, electrical engineering, mechatronics, informatics or mathematics, or a closely related field, with outstanding results. Key qualifications include a good knowledge about control theory, state and parameter estimation and optimization. The ability to work actively and independently in new research areas is required. In addition to research, your duties will include participation in teaching and the supervision of undergraduate students.
