School of Mathematical Sciences at Zhejiang University offers one of the best mathematics programs in China. There is a long and successful history of producing elite undergraduate, graduate students, and postdoc fellows in all areas of mathematics. The school consists of Department of Mathematics, Department of Computational Mathematics, Department of Data Science and Applied Mathematics, and Department of Statistics. Currently, there are over one hundred faculty members, most of them are research active with research grants. The School has made significant recent progress by hiring over twenty young faculty members worldwide through various national and university talent programs. In 2007, it was approved by the Ministry of Education as one of the first primary national key disciplines.
