(1)A Ph.D. degree in relevant discipline.
(2)Outstanding research achievements in any field related to Informatics.
(3)Passion for pioneering research in new fields and for contributing to international exchange as well as education.
(4)Excellent communication skills in English and willingness to cultivate globally-competent human resources.
(5)Japanese language ability required for administration work.

1.Application Documents:
Applicants should prepare the following materials (1)-(9) in English or in Japanese.
(1)Curriculum vitae including the following items: photo, date of birth, present address, contact information, educational background (since high school), academic/employment carrier.
(2)List of research publications and presentations (refereed journal articles, refereed conference papers, books, invited lectures, and others). Special notes can be added such as Citation Index and h-index.
(3)List of research grants, awards, patents, and notable projects you have engaged in.
(4)Educational experiences.
(5)Activities in academic societies and social activities.
(6)Reprints or copies of five major papers.
(7)Summary of the past research activities (within two A4-sized pages).
(8)Future plans and aspirations for research and education (within two A4-sized pages).
(9)Names and contact information (including e-mail addresses) of two references. You may attach recommendation letters obtained from them.

3.Submission:
All the materials should be prepared in the PDF format0and saved in a CD-ROM or a USB memory, in addition to a set of printed documents. All these materials should be sent by using registered postal mail or courier service to Prof. Suzuki whose address is shown in Contact Information below. On the envelope, "Application for Associate Professorship" should be written in red ink. All materials will not be returned.

1.Selection Process: After the screening of the application documents, the secondary screening by interview will be conducted. Our preference is to be able to conduct the interview on-site, but in case you are not in Japan, we can do it via Skype or Google hangout. No travel expenses will be provided.
