Benefits; Sick Leave; Holidays Paid; Retirement Posting Number: 2016177F Job Description: The Russ College of Engineering and Technology's School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science ( EECS) at Ohio University (OU) invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for a one year term with a possible renewal for an additional year. The visiting assistant professor will be expected to provide additional depth and breadth for research and education in the school, broaden horizons of our students and catalyze new collaborations among the faculty. The School of EECSoffers bachelors, masters and Ph. D. degree programs in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The applicant is expected to strengthen existing research programs through collaborations with the faculty in one or more of the following areas; electronic navigation systems, image and signal processing, precise time and frequency transfer, micro and nanoelectronics devices and systems; optoelectronic devices and photonic systems; intelligent transportation systems; mobile and 3D immersive software; advanced controls and robotics; image and signal processing; artificial intelligence in medicine; avionics; and bioinformatics. The successful candidate will involve students at the PhD, MS, and BS level, contribute to peer-reviewed publications and help to enhance the reputation of the School, College, and University at the national and international level. Established record of high-quality research and scholarship. Prior undergraduate or graduate instructional experience. Evidence of collaborative research across disciplines and/or organizations.
