Position: We have an opening for a PhD position in computer vision, with a focus on image deblurring. Research topics for this position may include, but are not limited to, 3D face reconstruction, 3D tracking, data-driven methods for image reconstruction (machine learning), manifold learning, and texture modeling. You will be part of the Computer Vision Group, a vibrant team working on computer vision, computational photography and machine learning. Located in the heart of Switzerland’s capital, the University of Bern provides an international, rich and unique opportunity to conduct cutting edge research.
The start date is between October 1, 2016 and March 1, 2017.
Your profile: You hold a Master of Science in Computer Science with a solid background in Computer Vision and Machine Learning and are highly motivated. You have excellent programming skills in a programming language like C++. Experience with programming languages such as Python, Matlab, Lua, and GPU programming (e.g., CUDA), and with libraries such as OpenCV, are considered very valuable. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
