The Information Technology & International Studies Major of the School of World Englishes is seeking applicants who can teach her/his specialty and the English language mainly to undergraduate students. We are seeking a specialist in English Education and/or International Studies including International Relations, International Business and Area Studies.

1. Field of specialization: Applied Linguistics/ International Relations/ International Business/ Area Studies /Educational Technology

2. Background, etc.: 
(1) PhD or an equivalent qualification in the field of specialization 
(2) An excellent level of proficiency in English and Japanese
(3) Good knowledge/ experience in university-level English education and enthusiasm for the education at the School of World Englishes
(4) Regardless of nationality, applicants must be proficient in Japanese enough to work efficiently and harmoniously with the faculty and staff.
(5) If employed, the successful applicant is supposed to reside in or near Nagoya City

1. Curriculum vitae with a recent photo, the contact phone number and the email address
2. List of publications
3. Originals or copies of five major publications. For each publication, please attach an A4 half-page abstract either in English (for a Japanese paper) or in Japanese (for a English paper).
4. A letter of reference (which should include her/his institution, the phone number and the email address) or two names of referees with information on affiliation, status, and contact details (phone number and email address).


[Selection process]
After a review of the submitted documents, shortlisted applicants shall attend the first interviews scheduled on Saturday October 1 which could be combined with a short demonstration class. After the selection by the faculty meeting, a couple of the finalists shall have the second interview with Chancellor, President and others.
