Start day: as soon as possible The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) invites applications from PhD holders in the general area of computer vision. SnT is carrying out interdisciplinary research in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services, often in collaboration with industrial, governmental or international partners. SnT is active in several international research projects funded by the EU H2020 and the European Space Agency. The Centre is currently expanding its research activities and is seeking highly motivated research associates who wish to pursue research in close cooperation with our partners. Your RoleThe successful candidate will join a growing team in computer vision and image processing. He/She will be member of the SnT Computer Vision Lab managed by Dr. Djamila Aouada as part of the SIGCOM group of Prof. Björn Ottersten. The candidate will pursue an industrial PhD project on human body shape modelling in partnership with ARTEC 3D (www.artec3d.com), a global leader for handheld 3D scanners. This research will rely on defining new mathematical models using concepts from 3D geometry, statistical shape modelling, and deep learning.
