Position Description

The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences seeks applicants for a position at the tenure-track level in computational materials science, with an expected start date of July 1, 2017.

We are accepting applications in all areas of computational materials science, including quantum mechanical modeling of materials, multiscale physics and mechanics, data-driven methods and machine learning, as well as application-oriented materials development.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates are required to have a doctorate or terminal degree in a related area by the expected start date.

Additional Qualifications

We seek innovative researchers who are also committed to undergraduate as well as graduate teaching and training.

Special Instructions

Required application documents include a cover letter, CV, a statement of research interests, a teaching statement, and up to three representative papers. Candidates should also submit the names and contact information for at least three and up to five references. The application is complete only when three letters have been received. We encourage candidates to apply by December 1, 2016, but will continue to review applications until the position is filled.
