Assistant Professor in Computer Science University of Winnipeg Department of Computer Science
The Department of Applied Computer Science at The University of Winnipeg invites outstanding candidates to apply for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the time of appointment, with specialization in Game Design and Development, Computer Graphics, Animation or Game Science.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new courses in the area of game design and contribute to the development of a department program that will prepare students to engage in the gaming industry in Manitoba and beyond. Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will share in the administrative responsibilities of the department, play an active role in the advising and supervision of students, and have opportunities to supervise students in the department’s M.Sc. in Applied Computer Science and Society.
Subject to budgetary approval, this position will be effective from July 1, 2017. Salary levels will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
