These positions underpin the Department’s continued expansion in electronic engineering. Applicants must have research interests that complement existing activities within the Department, see http://www.bath.ac.uk/elec-eng/research/index.html and the Research Themes in the “Further Particulars” document. Example areas include: digital electronics, analogue and mixed signal electronics, electronic systems design, energy harvesting, wireless sensor networks, power electronics, microelectronics, signal processing and electronics for sensor applications and extreme environments. Applicants should clearly state their fit with existing activities in our research themes, together with the level (Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader) they are applying for.

Applications without these mandatory components will not be progressed.
The postholders will be expected to carry out research, supervise research students and secure research funding from research councils, industry and government organisations. Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level will be expected including fundamental electronic engineering material, in addition to advanced electronics modules.
The post-holders will join a successful and expanding department and faculty. The University of Bath is based in an attractive campus on the edge of the World Heritage City of Bath. It offers a progressive academic environment and the lifestyle advantages of working and living in one of the most beautiful areas in the country.
