MATHEMATICS LAB INSTRUCTOR The American University in Dubai invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Mathematics Lab Instructor The fundamental responsibility of this position is to Teach Mathematics Labs and hold Problem Solving Sessions in Mathematics at the Mathematics Tutoring Center. Principle Responsibilities: Teach Mathematics Labs in Pre-Calculus MATH 105 & 110. Have 6 hours/Week of Problem Solving Sessions in various Mathematics Courses offered at AUD (As agreed upon with the Coordinator of Mathematics and the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences). Tutor for various Mathematics courses at the Mathematics Tutoring Center Competencies and Skills Used: Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be an active team player and a contributor to the Mathematics Division at the School of Arts and Sciences. Ability to cover a wide range of Mathematical topics. Essential Qualifications: Masters of Science or Masters of Arts in Mathematics from a Western Accredited Institution at the time of appointment. A demonstrated record of teaching excellence in Mathematics. At least 2 years of experience in teaching Mathematics at the High school or college Level. Desired Additional Qualifications: Background in Math Education Familiarity and experience with Mathematics online platforms like MyMathLab, ALEKS, and Connect Applications will be accepted and evaluated until this position is filled.
