Full Professor in Circuit Design Technical University of Munich, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites applications for the position of Full Professor in »Circuit Design« to begin as soon as possible. The professorship is a tenured W3 position. The regulations of the TUM Faculty Recruitment and Career System apply.
Scientific environment The professorship is part of the TUM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and contributes to various Centers of Competence within the Department, e.g. “Design of Electronic Circuits and Systems”, “Electronics for Life-Sciences”, “Embedded and Cyber-physical Systems” and “Electronic, Optoelectronic and Hybrid Devices”. The professorship is expected to work closely with Integrative Research Centers as well as other Departments of TUM and to form strong partnerships to the rich and well-established electronics community in Munich.
Responsibilities The responsibilities of TUM professors include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in the research area of circuit design with focus on Analog/Mixed-Signal/RF circuit design, covering the full range from design to application in specific areas. The teaching load includes courses in the university’s bachelor and master programs. Teaching at TUM campus in Singapore may also be an option for this position.
Qualifications We are looking for a candidate with high international reputation who has demonstrated excellent achievements in research and teaching. The applicants may have university and/or industry experience. Basic prerequisites for the position are a university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification. International experience during the doctoral or postdoctoral phase, pedagogical aptitude including the ability to teach in English are expected.
