Associate Professor in Geometry / Topology to Aarhus University
Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Technology, Aarhus University, Invites applications for a permanent position as Associate Professor in Geometry and Topology two be filled as soon as possible. The workplace will be the Department of Mathematics and the successful ansøger will be Associated with the Centre for Quantum Geometry of Moduli Spaces (QGM) Reviews within the Department of Mathematics.
The valgte candidate is expected to play an active role in Securing external funding and take part in the teaching and supervision of students at all levels.
QGM fokuserer Quantum Geometry of Moduli Spaces. In particular the aim is two Provider and study complete mathematical model for a number of quantum field theories. These include Topological twists of quantum Yang-Mills theory, the geometric Langlands Program, quantum Chern-Simons theory and quantum gravity in two- and three-spatial dimensions. It is a collaborative project Involving representation theory, algebraic topology, algebraic geometry, quantum algebra, quantum topology of three-manifolds, Riemann surfaces and Teichmüller theory, gauge theory and Berezin-Toeplitz quantization, together with mathematical aspects of quantum field theory and string theory .
