Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an online adjunct faculty member for the online division in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology .  Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, the college provides an outlet for innovation and cross-disciplinary exposure. It also features pre-professional degrees in biology, alongside our degrees in information systems, and a forensic science and exercise science program.

  

As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.  If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction, we’d like to hear from you. 

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION: ITT-250 - Service Oriented Architecture

 

FALL START 2017: This course is located on our main campus in Phoenix, AZ and runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30 P.M.

 

This course teaches students to design and develop secure enterprise applications in a service oriented approach, both in theory and in practice. Students explore SOA concepts with an emphasis on cybersecurity and develop a working knowledge of web services. Design and develop web services with industry standard development tools. Prerequisite: ITT-115 or ITT-116.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.  Other main responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

 

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Certified as Oracle DBA (OCA: Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle SOA Suite 12c Implementation Specialist, or OCP: Oracle Certified Professional) or J2EE Certified or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD). Proficient in BPEL Modeling or SQL or J2EE or web-development or computer programming or computer/networking systems demonstrating the ability to enable multi-layered solution architectures.

Minimum:

  • Masters (or higher) in Information Technology or Masters (or higher) in Computer Science or Masters (or higher) in Computer Information AND 2 or more years’ experience designing and/or implementing Service Oriented Architecture solutions in a mid to large size enterprise.
