The Role and Your Responsibilities



The School is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified person to the Senior Educator role in Electrical, Refrigeration and Electrical Instrumentation Trades.

 

As Senior Educator, you will be mainly responsible for the co-ordination of the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, customised, high quality vocational education and training.  The role will also involve coordination of staff resources and student administration of the program/s in the electrical, refrigeration and electrical instrumentation trades area.   You will be required to interact with industry, other areas within RMIT and in particular, interact with other teaching and administration staff – while leading teaching delivery, training and assessment.  You will also participate in relevant activities to ensure that staff maintain vocational competence. 

 

Skills & Experience Required



You will have the capacity to coordinate the work of staff in the development and implementation of VET programs in the University, industry or within the community. You will also have demonstrated educational leadership skills that effectively promote teaching and learning. This includes effective interpersonal and communication skills, presentation, facilitation and counselling skills. Furthermore, your teaching experience in the area of this position, including evidence in the use of effective innovative and flexible teaching method

 

will be essential to your success in this role.

  • DIP VET TAE50111 (or TAE40110 at minimum)
